Chanel Little Black Jacket

On top of Tim Walkers beautiful exhibition I also visited the Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition at the Saatchi gallery.
Featuring over 100 black and white portraits of famous faces wearing the iconic Little Black Jacket, styled by Carine Roitfeld and shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Feauturng iconic faces such as Daphne Guinness, Freja Beha Erichsen, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Wintour and Kanye West among many many others it surely is a modern day fashionista hall of fame.
Set in a cool, low lit space of the Saatchi spanning over three rooms the exhibit shows how timeless the jacket is given being an iconic part of Chanels history.
The print was in no way as good a quality as that of Tim Walker but it was still beautiful in its own right. Moreover everyone received a free poster which felt nice to take away of bit of Chanel with you! (probably the closest I will ever get to a Chanel jacket)
Where the Tim Walker exhibit felt dream like and beautiful, this felt much more edgy, modern and cool.
You can also pick up the accompanying book if you missed the exhibit priced at around £45 pounds its a bargain for the workmanship and quality of the book and little piece of Chanel you can hold on to forever!

The Little Black Jacket exhibition runs from 12th October until the 4th November at the Saatchi Gallery

Storyteller

Tim Walker Storyteller
Having always been an avid fan of Tim Walkers work I was keen to visit his latest exhibition at Somerset House.
After seeing advertisements in Elle and all over the underground I knew that I couldn't miss this.
Supported by Mulberry the exhibit is a beautiful journey through some of Tim's most beautiful pieces of work.
Tim easily transports you to fairy tale worlds with every beautiful image, which seem like something you'd see in your dreams. With this in mind, you would expect his exhibition to portray a similar feeling, and it most certainly did.
Not only were the beautiful images hung on the walls perfectly (printed in excellent quality) but there were also gigantic props from his past shoots. The props were dreamlike and beautiful, but in another respect seemed sinister and creepy, with giant cello playing bumble bees and ginormous snails adorning the ceilings.
The exhibit was set out beautifully with some prints mounted on the walls and others mounted in crates adding the vintage feel of Walkers work.
From the beautiful elegant setting of Somerset House to the luxury sponsor, there were exceptionally high expectations for the exhibition and I think its fair to say that Walker delivered in beautiful style, as per.
If you aren't already in love with Walker's dreamlike photography, you will be after this.
And if you needed anymore reasons to visit (I can't see why you would ) Admission in to the exhibition is free!

Tim Walker Storyteller runs from the 18th of October to the 27th of January at the East Wing Galleries, Somerset House.
